Winter 2008 was another full-on period with a variety of events that saw MonstaVision featuring in high profile situations with LED Screens, and the latest innovation, LED Digital Signage.

NZ RUGBY UNION - All Black Internationals

MonstaVision is an official supplier to the NZ Rugby Union for the provision of LED Digital signage for all the All Blacks Home Internationals.

250 metres of MonstaVision's MV17.5mm pitch LED Digital Banner panels line one side, and both ends of the pitch at all the matches.



This year the signage was in place at Eden Park (England and the Bledisloe Cup) Westpac Stadium, Wellington (Ireland and South Africa), AMI Stadium , Christchurch(England), Carisbrook, Dunedin (South Africa).

The one off Test against Manu Samoa at Yarrows Stadium in New Plymouth,also featured the MV Digital signage, and we were proud to part of this historic match.

MonstaVision also provided our LED screens for the All Black Tests at Auckland, New Plymouth and Dunedin.

Our Monstavision in- house production team created the innovative on-screen content for the Digital banner signage system for the Tests, and the feedback from the advertisers and public has been extremely positive.

The Air New Zealand 747 Jumbo, the Shell Ferrari, and the Vero "Bull", flying, driving and galloping around the perimeter of the Rugby field was a spectacular site and beamed world wide to a huge audience.

WARRIORS NRL TEAM

For the first time this season MonstaVision provided 110 metres of its LED Digital Banner advertising system for all the Warriors Rugby League NRL home games at Mt Smart Stadium.

Again a success and positive feedback received from all concerned.

The Warriors had a great last few weeks, that ended with them having a home Semi at Mt Smart.

On this occasion, MonstaVision provided the Digital signage for the NRL through their Head Office in Sydney. Another high rating chance to expose our product to a new audience.

NETBALL

MonstaVision is proud to announce it has won the contract for the provision of its MV LED Digital Signage banner advertising system and LED screens to Netball New Zealand for the Siler Ferns International home games.

Tests against Australia at the Westpac Stadium in Christchurch, and the Vector Arena in Auckland, saw the indoor system being used.

It gives a new look to this exciting sport, and other Tests will be played against England at Vector Arena and the Manawatu Arena in Palmerston North.

The new Trans Tasman Netball League started earlier this year, and Monstavision provided the indoor Digital Signage System and an LED screen to the Christchurch based Skope Tactix franchise.



The Skope Tactix played to very large crowds at the Westpac Stadium in Christchurch, and the signage and screen were part of a most professional presentation, that took the game to a new level.

The television audience for Netball is huge and the Digital signage has made a significant impact.

RUGBY PROMOTION

Monstavision provided a 38 sq metre Trailer mounted screen, to Nvisage Media, from Sydney,for promotions held in conjunction with the Wellington City Council at Queens Wharf in Wellington.

The screen was there showing all the Tri Nations Rugby Test Matches Live from NZ, Australia and South Africa. A Live Site near popular Cafes and Bars.

NZ RACING BOARD

Drive in screens for the NZ Racing Board, were present at Winter/Spring meetings at Riccarton, Hawkes Bay, Te Rapa, Ruakaka, Matamata as well as managing the screens at Ellerslie.

Another new Racing Season started on the 1st August, and the number of screens has increased significantly for the next 12 months.


AIR NZ CUP RUGBY

Monstavision is providing LED screens for the Auckland, Waikato,Otago and North Harbour Provincial Unions throughout this competition.

A replay screen at these matches is now becoming a customer requirement with so many decisions going the way of the Video Referee. The punters need to be kept informed.

TRIBUTE 08

This event staged in Wellington at the end of May, recognised the deeds of the NZ Servicemen that had served in the Vietnam War.

MonstaVision provided screens at Parliament House and a screen at the National war Memorial. A very moving occasion that was highlighted on the screens.

OLYMPICS

We set up and ran a 20 sq metre, container mounted MV screen at the Northcote Shopping Centre in Auckland, for the duration of the Olympics. The promotion attracted large crowds, and plenty of excitement during NZ's Gold medal events.

OTHER EVENTS

The Vector Arena in Auckland was a very busy place in August with World class shows being staged there.

Monstavision provided screens at Vector for Andrea Bocelli and Panic at the Disco. Sellout shows and excellent feedback on the screens.

BUSY PERIOD IN AUSTRALIA

Several of our screens are on their way to Australia, to assist Monstavision Australia, with major projects over the next two months.

Multi-screen events that Monstavision are responsible for are the Indy Cars and V8 Supercars on the Gold Coast, featuring our own Scott Dixon, the Indy Car Champion.

Then to Victoria, the major event of the Year in Australia, the Melbourne Cup, where we will have 17 screens .

Monstavision will also provide the screens for the Caufield Cup.

A very busy time with major events on both sides of the Tasman over October and November.

OLD NEWS

The 2007/2008 Spring/Summer Season has been the busiest in the history of Monstavision, with our screens at the majority of large outdoor events in New Zealand, and some very high profile events in Australia.

V8 Supercars - Hamilton

MonstaVision installed a multi screen presentation for the first Hamilton 400, with 13 large LED screens.

Indy Cars- Surfers Paradise - Australia

MonstaVision installed a multi screen presentation for this International motor sport event, with 7 large LED screens.

Australian Racing

The Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival 07 was bigger that ever.

MonstaVision are proud to be the exclusive LED rental screen provider for the most prestigious sporting event in Australia. the Melbourne Cup. We supplied 16 LED screens to this magnificent event.

Monstavision screens were also at the Caulfield Cup.

New Zealand Racing

As supplier of LED screens to the NZ Racing Board,we are thrilled to be part of a very successful Summer of Racing.

Crowds have increased significantly across the board with the innovative on-course activities created by the NZRB.

New Zealand Cricket

MonstaVision is the exclusive supplier of LED screens to NZ Cricket.

Screens have been present at the International Twenty/Twenty , ODI's and Test Matches throughout the country.

Basin Reserve, Wellington

The premier NZ Test cricket ground, purchased a 55 sq metre Monstavision 17.5mm LED screen, and this was in use for the first time for the NZ v Bangladesh Test in December.

The screen is housed in an impressive structure beside the historic scoreboard. MonstaVision will manage the screen for the Basin Reserve Trust when it is not required at the ground.


Motor Racing

A1GP in Taupo saw another multi screen event with the World Cup of Motorsport bringing the big names to NZ.

Western Springs Speedway

A successful season at the Springs, with the MonstaVision screen being a focal point of the entertainment at this iconic speedway venue. The international series for Sprint cars and Migdets drew huge crowds.

International Tennis

A 20 sq metre MonstaVision screen was used for live coverage and scoring at the two International Tennis Tournaments in Auckland, the ASB Women's Classic and the Heineken Open.

NZ Air Games

This first time unique event was launched in Wanaka over the Christmas holiday period. Receiving world wide coverage, a Monstavision screen was again the centre of attention, with coverage beamed back from the planes and skydivers to the on ground audience.

Sir Edmund Hillary Funeral

MonstaVision placed screens at the large outdoor gatherings in Auckland at the Domain and Viaduct Harbour, and in Hamilton and Christchurch.
